Commerce West Insurance: The WORST Insurance Company

I’m antsy, angry, frustrated, and tired of dealing with a 4th-class insurance company called Commerce West Insurance.  Below is my story.

On Friday, April 8 at a little after noon my Jetta was hit by a white Chevy Cobalt while stopping at the light at the intersection of Mooney and Walnut in Visalia.  I didn’t really know how it happened I just knew that all of the sudden there was a big WHAM! and when I looked to my right this car was hitting my rear-view mirror.

We pulled over, and I was able to obtain the insurance information of the car that hit me.  The 2005 White Chevrolet Cobalt with a California license plate # 5MKR120 was insured by Commerce West Insurance.feliciabaker.jpg

Upon returning to my office I immediately called the insurance company, and was assigned to an adjuster by the name of Lissette Cruz with claim number 0518803 CNS.  So far so good!

On Tuesday the appraiser phoned me.  He then came to see the damage, and gave me a written estimate of a little over $600.  So far so good, but I haven’t heard anything back from the adjuster.  In that week I called the adjuster almost daily, but was unable to reach her.  I left a few voice mails, and spoke with different adjusters.  One adjuster that I talked to explained that they had not been able to contact the insured, and told me that once they could verify the incident then they could start the repair process.

Lo and behold, a week later I received a letter from Lissette Cruz, the adjuster, telling me that she has been unable to contact me by telephone, and asked me to call her at my earliest convenience.  At this point I was so pissed off because I’ve never received a voice mail from her, and there was not a single missed call from her.  Moreover, I called her almost daily, and despite a few messages left for her she never called me back!

Finally, on Thursday,  April 21 I was able to talk to the adjuster for the first time, after I was almost convinced that Lissette Cruz was an imaginary person!  I gave her the case number 0518803 CNS she told me that she was able to talk to Felicia Baker, the insured.  However, the driver was not listed in her policy.  She told me that she was going to call Ms. Baker immediately to ask who the driver was, and she said she was going to call me back.  She never did!

On the following day, Friday April 22 I called Lissette Cruz again, and she was a little annoyed that I called her again.  I could not believe it!  It was ME who should be upset because Commerce West didn’t do anything 2 weeks after the accident.  Should I mention again that it was not a major accident, and it would only cost around $600 to fix my otherwise almost perfect car?

I haven’t heard anything back from her until today, and my patience is running out!  Friends, never insure your cars or your homes with Commerce West Insurance!!  Friends will not let friends insure with Commerce West.  It is simply the WORST insurance company I’ve ever dealt with!  For comparison, I would give AAA an A ++ and I would give Commerce West an F— (F minus minus minus), or can I give them a “Z”?
