I’ve been having problems with my hard drive for a few months now. It has some bad sectors and many times it just fails to read. It is the second Western Digital HD on this computer after the first one died last year. The drive is still covered under warranty, and they sent me a replacement drive but it’s DOA so I sent it back to Western Digital.
Not wanting to wait for them to send me yet another replacement, last week I bought a Seagate drive from Newegg. The service was awesome, the price was reasonable, and the drive is good. I’m a happy camper now. 🙂
Last year when my drive went out on me I lost a few important files that I didn’t backup. Since then I learned a lesson to back up important files and I also clone my drive regularly using Acronis. It’s one of the most valuable piece of software that saves me lots of times and headaches. I highly recommend Acronis!
