Happy Halloween!

hlwn086.jpgOur Halloween weekend was filled with many activities:  Buying a pumpkin, Halloween parade at Tryphena’s school, Reformation party at Stan’s ranch, and handing out candies to the neighborhood kids.

We started a week before by going to a pumpkin patch to buy a pumpkin.  We had been going to the same pumpkin patch for the last three years, and it’s a blessing to see how Tryphena has grown.  Click here to see her pictures in the  last two Halloweens.

The Halloween parade at Tryphena’s school was on Friday morning.   All of the children paraded around the building, and Tryphena dressed up as Snow White.  Click here to see more pictures of the parade.

On Saturday morning I took Duke to the vet to have his staples removed, then we headed to Hanford, about 45 minutes South, for the church’s Reformation Party.  There we had food, food, and food.  We also enjoyed the fellowship of the like-minded brothers and sisters, and we were once again reminded of God’s grace by raising men like Martin Luther, John Calvin, and a host of others, to preserve his precious Gospel.  After lunch we rode on the hay ride, and we had various games.  We left the ranch tired but otherwise delighted.

We spent the rest of the evening handing out candies to the trick or treaters who came knocking on our door.
